Short answers, in the app’s own words.

Each card names the exact place in the app and links to the manual for the full screen-by-screen version. Still stuck? Write to us: a person reads it.

Your provider

Add the login you already have.

Add an Xtream Codes login

  1. Open Settings › Playlists › Playlists and choose Add a source.
  2. Choose Xtream Codes and enter the server address, username and password exactly as your provider wrote them.
  3. Choose what to load: live TV, films and series, or both.

Long addresses are easier typed from your phone. On the phone app, the same form is under Add a provider.

Providers in the manual →

Add an M3U playlist

  1. Open Settings › Playlists › Playlists and choose Add a source.
  2. Choose Playlist (M3U) and paste the playlist address.

A playlist brings live channels. If your provider gave you a separate guide address, add it as your own XMLTV guide.

Providers in the manual →

Add a Stalker portal

  1. Open Settings › Playlists › Playlists and choose Add a source.
  2. Choose Stalker portal. Enter the MAC address the portal knows this box by, then the portal address. The path is optional; TiviDeck tries the usual ones.

Paste it exactly as your provider wrote it. On the phone app, the same choice is under Add a provider.

Which login do I have? →

Add a Jellyfin or Emby server, or a NAS share

  1. Open Settings › Playlists › Playlists and choose Add a source (on the phone, Add a provider).
  2. For Jellyfin or Emby, enter the server address, username and password.
  3. For a NAS share, enter the server or its IP address and the share name, a folder if you want only part of it, and a username and password if the share needs them.

A NAS share’s video files become the household’s Movies and Series, with episodes gathered into seasons. Direct URL adds one stream address as a single channel.

Providers in the manual →

Add your own XMLTV guide

  1. Open Settings › TV guide.
  2. Add the guide address, or press Use your phone to type it there.

Your guide is added to your provider’s, never used in its place: it fills the channels the provider left blank. The page says what a large guide costs your box in memory before you commit. Premium.

Your account

Phones, devices and profiles.

See and remove devices

My account lists every TV, phone and browser in your account. Any TV or phone in it can remove a device, behind the parental PIN, and so can tivideck.com/household.

Removing a device frees its place for the next TV or phone you link. When the account is full, the new device is told so, and where to make room.

Set up a child profile

  1. On Who’s watching, choose Add profile, give it a name and make it a child profile.
  2. Set the parental PIN if the household has none yet.
  3. In Settings › Account & profiles, open the child’s rules: bedtime, daily allowance, and the channels, films and series they may open.

The child’s profile then opens the kids’ world. Premium.

The kids’ world and controls →

Reset a forgotten PIN

From a linked phone, reset it with the phone’s own screen lock. On a TV, enter its 10-digit recovery code at the PIN prompt to choose a new PIN; parental controls can make one once you are in.

The PIN in the manual →

Back up and restore

On the TV, Settings › Storage & recording › Backup & restore writes one file with your providers and their sign-ins, profiles, favorites, looks, the remote and the PIN. A copy also goes to Downloads › TiviDeck, so it survives an uninstall.

On a new or reinstalled box, the welcome screen’s Restore my setup brings it back. Choose Link to my account first: it is the only way that brings back your Premium too. The other ways (restore a Google Play purchase, pick a backup, or Restore from my phone) bring back settings only; link the device afterwards for Premium.

Backup in the manual →

Your lineup and your own channel numbers

Settings › TV guide › Your lineup finds your networks and puts them on familiar numbers: locals from 2, news in the 100s, sports in the 200s, and so on. Press OK on a channel there to change its number.

To rename one channel or give it your own number, choose Rename in its options. Type the number on the remote and it tunes.

Help a relative with Family help

  1. On their TV, open Settings › Account & profiles › My account and choose Get a code under Let someone help this household. The code is good for 30 minutes. Their phone can make one too, under Settings › Family help.
  2. On your phone, open My TiviDeck › Settings › Family help, type the code and your name as they will see it, and tap Join.
  3. Their profiles appear with their providers: tap a provider to give it to a profile or take it away. Add a provider for them sends an Xtream Codes login or an M3U playlist.

The login is sealed on your phone for their devices only, and their TV applies the change within about two minutes of being on. Family help does not link a device or share Premium: you stay in your own account. They can remove you from the same page on their TV or phone; Stop helping leaves on your side. A helper cannot create, rename or delete profiles, or change parental rules.

Family help, explained →

Choose a profile’s providers

On the TV, hold OK on a profile in Who’s watching and set Providers this profile uses. On the phone, open Settings › Profiles and choose the profile.

The profile’s channels, guide, sports, films and series then come only from those providers. With every provider on, it sees them all. Premium.

Providers per profile →
Watching

Multi-view, recordings and catch-up.

Multi-view, and why the box decides how many

Start it from a channel’s sheet (Add to multi-view), from the player’s options, or from your remote’s own key. Press Right past the last tile to add one, Left past the first to take one away.

TiviDeck checks the box’s memory and how many videos its decoders can play at once, and offers only what it can draw: up to eight on a Shield, fewer on a small stick. Each tile is one connection to your provider.

Why the box decides →

Recordings and series rules

From the guide, highlight a program and choose Record for that showing or every showing. In the player, the record button starts it, and the same button stops it.

A series rule keeps the last few episodes or every one. A recording reaches back to the start of the program from the live buffer. Find them under Recordings in the menu rail. Premium.

Timeshift and recording →

Catch-up

Channels that keep catch-up are marked in the guide, with how many days they keep. Hold OK on the program, then press Left to walk back. On the phone, the guide’s Catch up button does it.

How far back depends on your provider’s archive. Premium.

The guide in the manual →

Put your favorites in order

Open Favorites in Live TV, or from a playing channel press Left twice: the guide slides in, then its categories, with Favorites near the top. Hold OK on a channel, then move it with Up and Down. The order is the household’s, so the guide, Home and the phone follow it. Your own lists move the same way.

At the bottom of a list, Down goes back to the top: on the last channel or the last category, one more press lands on the first.

The Previous channel button, or your remote’s own Last key, flips back at once and lines up your last six channels along the bottom.

Installing and paying

Fire TV, plans and editions.

Install the Enhanced edition on Fire TV

  1. Install the free Downloader app from the Amazon store and open it.
  2. Type the code 1983787 (or tivideck.com/get/tv) and press Go.
  3. Choose Install. Allow Downloader to install apps when asked.
  4. Open TiviDeck and add your provider.

To update, do the same again; your settings stay.

Change your plan

Plans are paid once, so no card is kept on file. To go from Personal to Family, open Settings › Premium in the app, or tivideck.com/household, and choose Upgrade: you pay the difference, $4.99.

Premium in the manual →

Cancel

There is nothing to cancel: a plan is paid once and never renews, and there are no monthly or yearly plans. If you never buy one, TiviDeck keeps working as Basic after the trial, and your other providers stay saved for when you come back.

What Basic includes

Free after the 7-day trial: one provider, its own guide, one profile, live TV, films, series and search, with short local spots before on-demand titles.

Premium adds the Sports Hub, more providers and guides, more profiles and the kids’ world, pause and catch-up, recordings, multi-view, keeping films, sync and your own artwork, with no advertising.

How many devices

Personal: 2 devices, $9.99 once. Family: 5, $14.99 once, and Personal moves up to Family for $4.99. Family can add devices at $2.99 once each, up to 10. The 7-day trial, and Basic after it: 2.

TVs and phones both count. Signing in on tivideck.com does not.

Store edition or Enhanced edition

Store: from Google Play, Premium through Google Play, no add-ons. Its listing is in testing.

Enhanced: from tivideck.com/get, with the add-ons (Cinemeta catalogs, Stremio-compatible add-ons you add yourself, your own debrid account if you have one), Premium by card at tivideck.com. Both unlock the same household.

Questions

Frequently asked.

Does TiviDeck include channels?

No. TiviDeck is a player. You bring the provider you already pay for, with an Xtream Codes login, an M3U playlist or a Stalker portal, or your own Jellyfin, Emby or NAS library. TiviDeck never sells, hosts or resells channels.

What does Basic include?

Basic is free after the 7-day trial: one provider, its own guide, one profile, live TV, films, series and search, with short local spots before on-demand titles. The Sports Hub, more providers and guides, more profiles and the kids’ world, pause and catch-up, recordings, multi-view, keeping films, sync and your own artwork are Premium.

How many devices does a plan cover?

Personal covers 2 devices for $9.99 once. Family covers 5 for $14.99 once, and Personal moves up to Family for $4.99. With Family, extra devices are $2.99 once each, up to 10. The 7-day trial, and Basic after it, cover 2. TVs and phones both count; signing in on tivideck.com does not.

What is the difference between the Store edition and the Enhanced edition?

The Store edition comes from Google Play, buys Premium through Google Play and does not include add-ons. The Enhanced edition installs from tivideck.com/get, includes the add-ons (Cinemeta catalogs, Stremio-compatible add-ons you add yourself, and your own debrid account, if you have one), and buys Premium by card at tivideck.com. Both unlock the same household.

How do I cancel?

There is nothing to cancel: plans are paid once and never renew, and no card is kept on file. There are no monthly or yearly plans.

Why does multi-view offer fewer than eight tiles on my box?

TiviDeck checks how much memory the box has and how many videos its decoders can play at once, and offers only the layouts the box can draw. A Shield can show eight; a smaller stick may stop at two or four. Your provider’s connection limit applies too.

Can I manage my parents’ TV from my phone?

Yes, with Family help. Their TV shows a helper code under Settings › Account & profiles. You type it in your phone app under Settings › Family help, and you can then choose which providers each of their profiles uses and send them a new provider login. The login is encrypted on your phone for their devices only, and their TV applies it within about two minutes.

A helper cannot create, rename or delete their profiles or change their parental rules, and they can remove a helper at any time. Step by step.

Is there an iPhone or Apple TV app?

The iPhone app is on its way to the App Store, with the same household, the same lifetime plans and Family help. TiviDeck runs on Android TV, Google TV, Fire TV and Android phones and tablets today. Versions for iPad, Apple TV, Mac and Windows are in the works; there are no dates yet.
